The Southern Swing: Motorbike Trip Uno


Our motorbike trip started in typical Laos fashion--we got lost. (That's me, consulting the "map.")


But soon we were enjoying the countryside, those these mean kids said we couldn't swim in their river unless we paid them 10,000 kip. Jerks.


This sign welcomed us. Isn't it welcoming?


Forgot to mention that we were riding in the Boliven plateau, which the French found perfect for growing coffee. Oh, but this is just a picture of a non-coffee farm. Enjoy!


There were also lots of beautiful waterfalls.


Once, the beauty was so great--just like that plastic bag fluttering about in American Beauty--that I thought to end it all.

But then I was like, nah...


Let's see some more waterfalls!


This native boy was nice enough to show me a great swimming hole.

(Just joshing ya, that's my friend Tong).


And after a refreshing few days of swimming in waterfalling, nothing beats a good ol' ride through a pot hole-ridden dusty road.


But eventually, we reached a small town with some nice children.


But then we apparently said something wrong and they chased us--luckily, their tiny legs couldn't keep up with our 100cc  Chinese motorbikes...


And we hid behind this waterfall eating sticking rice.
